Arriving at the hotel, Angelina greeted me with a huge smile as she was planted in a chair with half of her hair curled. The stylist continued adding more straight hair into the curling wand while Angelina quickly mentioned where I could find some of her most special bridal details. Walking into the bridal suite, I saw the flowing gown for the first time! Wow!!! It was so stunning and unique! The color, embroidery, and style…it was absolutely breathtaking!
Angelina wore a gorgeous veil with her gown. I loved incorporating it into some detail shots. It had the smallest beaded trim that accented her dress in such a beautiful way.
A common tradition is to have something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. It’s said to bring luck to the new couple and protect their future children. The garter from her mother, the string of pearls, and a little charm that was new and blue satisfied all these requirements. I should mention, the blue charm was a special gift given to Angelina on her wedding day by her mother, Debbie. It read, “I love you to the moon and back.” So sentimental and special!
Debbie and Michelle (Angelina’s matron of honor) helped her get ready.
I love this mother-daughter moment! There is so much love and tenderness in Debbie’s facial expression and so much joy in Angelina’s eyes. Capturing these authentic emotions on a wedding day is truly an honor!
Anxiously awaiting his daughter’s arrival, Ray patiently waited outside on the sweltering patio. We only had a few moments before the bus was leaving for the church but Angelina wanted to have a “first look” with her father. When Ray turned around to see his daughter as a bride, he was smiling from ear to ear! He exclaimed, “my beautiful, Peanut!”
Next we arrived at the church. Tony was in a back room with his brother who was also his best man, Jake. Tony was feeling a little nervous anticipation. He loves Angelina so much and was hoping he could keep his emotions at bay when exchanging the vows.
I quickly entered the bride’s room and caught the precious ring bearer and one of the adorable flower girls. They were so excited for the day!
Angelina and Tony had a unity candle that was lit by Debbie and Michele, Tony’s mother.
Angelina loves her parents so much and wanted to be walked down the aisle by both her mom and dad. It was such a beautiful moment when the congregation rose to see Angelina being walked down the aisle by mom and dad!
The groom’s first look at his bride!
It was time for the exchange of vows and rings. Although Angelina and Tony were both anxious about this part, they said their parts perfectly.
The rest of the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. So much love filled that church!
First kiss as husband & wife!
The weather forecast was threatening scattered showers earlier in the week, but the afternoon was filled with warm sunshine. It was perfect to capture beautiful portraits in the park.
After we completed the beautiful family and wedding party photos, it was time for bride and groom portraits. This is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day! The couple has prepared and waited so long for this day. They look and feel incredible and if there was any anxiety prior to the ceremony, it’s now gone. They can now relax and enjoy the time together!
Love that veil!!!
Such a gorgeous bride!
Such a fun and happy time in the park! However, now it was off to the reception!
They had their first dance while “Speechless” was played.
After the 1st dance, it was time to cut the cake. This is always an unpredictable event because there’s a 50/50 chance it could get messy! I’m happy to report that they both kept it clean!
When it was time for the speeches, Ray gave one of the best Father of the Bride speeches you could imagine. It was filled with love, laughter and heartfelt wishes.
Debbie also had a few sentimental words to share about how Angelina was an answer to her prayers. It was so sweet and touching!
Best man, Jake, and matron of honor, Michelle, shared their sincere wishes as well.
They paid special tribute to their loved ones with a memory table.
Guests enjoyed learning more about Angelina and Tony during the shoe game! The crowd always erupts into laughter when the shoes they choose don’t align with each other.
Heartfelt love was felt when Angelina danced with her father and Tony danced with his mother.
There was a generational dance too! The dance floor was packed with married couples but only the longest married would win!
For years, Angelina was the only girl in the family, surrounded by 5 boy cousins. The birthdays, Christmas parties, or any other family gatherings typically included a cousin photo with Angelina being the youngest and only girl in the shot. Angelina said, “I have to get a photo with the boys on my BIG DAY!” We had to capture that familiar shot of the youngest cousin surrounded by all her boy cousins!
The music was pumping and the guests were enjoying themselves on the dance floor! So many good dancers at Angelina & Anthony’s wedding!
There was so much fun on the dance floor but it went to an even higher level when the confetti cannons were released!
When asked if there was anything Angelina and Tony would want to share on their wedding blog post, they said, “We would like to express our gratitude for everyone who has helped us in this journey and thank both of our parents for everything they have done for us to make this day possible!”
Such a perfect day for a beautiful couple!
Congratulations, Angelina & Tony! You two are a wonderful couple and we wish you nothing but the best! We love you!
